Following on from her participation in the 2017 group exhibition “O philoi, oudeis philoi”, Kim Minae (b. 1981, South Korea) returns to Atelier Hermès for a solo exhibition. Entitled “GIROGI”, it features an installation, a series of reliefs and several mobile structures all produced for the occasion. Minae’s practice centres on paradoxical situations, invisible borders and particular cultural and social consensuses. At Atelier Hermès, she develops her recent research into devices frequently used in the display of contemporary art. These works reconsider the very conventions of art exhibitions, which are usually deployed to reassure visitors that they are indeed encountering a work of art.

Lili Reynaud-Dewar (b. 1975, France) received support from the Foundation in 2016 to create and tour a show as part of the New Settings programme. She writes, performs and directs films, and creates installations. For several years now, she has been particularly interested in the figure of the artist in a globalised world, and in the circulation and interpretation of works of art and cultural heritage. Her exhibition at Atelier Hermès presents Beyond the Land of Minimal Possessions, a short horror film shot in Marfa, Texas, in which seven young artists question the meaning that they assign to their respective careers.

Oh Min (b. 1975, South Korea) is the seventeenth laureate of the Hermès Foundation Missulsang, a biennial prize awarded to an artist on the Korean contemporary scene by an international jury. Her exhibition at Atelier Hermès follows a four-month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, where she was accompanied by a French mentor, curator Gaël Charbau.
