H³ - Heart, head, hand
A charitable programme led by Hermès staff

H³ – Heart, Head, Hand
Heart, for generosity
Head, for analysis
Hand, for action
These concepts guide the programme, which begins with an internal call for projects. Launched in 2013, H³ brings the company's spirit of solidarity to life by inviting its team members to submit actions they would like to see supported to the Foundation.
Team members as Ambassadors
For the first two editions, the call for projects sent out to Hermès team members resulted in the selection of some twenty non-profit initiatives around the world. Over a two-year period, their projects were supported by “ambassadors” who acted as intermediaries between the organisations and the Foundation. The diversity and the high standards of these proposals further strengthened the Foundation's actions by helping it to support organisations it might not necessarily have been aware of otherwise.

A Collective Commitment at a Local Scale
In 2018, the third edition of the H³ programme saw the adoption of a new format, with staff collectively committing to support organisations and initiatives located near their places of work. Following a call for projects that was circulated across all levels of the maison Hermès (workshops, subsidiaries, stores, etc) and thanks to the mobilisation of groups of collaborators in France and abroad, 14 projects received financial support from the Foundation between 2018 and 2023.
Two Ways to Take Action
For the programme’s fourth edition, which began in 2023, the Foundation decided to give new momentum to its solidarity projects. While the Foundation continues to focus on local initiatives, two new formats are now available to Hermès collaborators. In addition to the financial support applied for individually or collectively on behalf of a local organisation, they can now also take part in a skills sharing programme. With the agreement of the maison’s human resources teams, volunteer employees are given the opportunity to undertake placements within organisations located close to their homes or places of work. Whether they involve sharing skills or carrying out actions in the field, these placements take place during working hours, bringing the company closer to those who, day in, day out, strive for the common good.
