Alongside the Skills Academy, the Foundation accompanies several organisations and events dedicated to craft and design, including D’Days. Open to both professionals and design enthusiasts, this festival aims to bring design to as broad an audience as possible. Each spring, from 2000 to 2017, D’Days has brought a diverse and festive programme to sites across the greater Paris region. Over a fortnight, free exhibitions and talks allow visitors to discover the numerous facets of design. D’Days showcases the vitality and diversity of the design discipline as well as its strong grounding in everyday applications.

Each year, the Foundation selects one initiative from the festival’s programme to support. In 2017, the Foundation chose “Écoles”, in which a dozen schools of applied arts from across France presented designs, student work and the products of workshops to the public in a series of thematic exhibitions that shone a light on the creativity of tomorrow’s designers. 

Beyond this fortnight-long festive encounter, the D’Days team also brings together public and private players in the design world throughout the year. A community of design professionals and amateurs regularly meet for shared moments of discovery. Together, they reveal the essential economic role played by design.
